The Federal Hotel Mudgee Gets a Makeover

A New Chapter in Regional Hospitality

The Federal Hotel Mudgee, located at 34 Inglis Street in the heart of Mudgee, is undergoing an exciting redevelopment that promises to elevate the region’s hospitality scene. The project aims to meet the growing demand for high-quality accommodations and enhance the overall guest experience in this thriving wine and food destination.

One of the key features of the transformation is the addition of 36 new accommodation rooms, significantly increasing the hotel’s capacity to cater to more guests. With the increasing popularity of Mudgee as a tourist hotspot, these upgrades are designed to provide visitors with a more comfortable and modern stay.

The redevelopment also includes a revamped bottle shop and an expanded dining experience, ensuring that both locals and tourists have access to top-notch food and beverages. Whether guests are enjoying a meal or picking up a local wine, the hotel will provide an elevated service experience.

The Federal Hotel Mudgee’s redevelopment is commissioned by IMG Hotels, a Canberra-based syndicate that acquired the hotel as part of a five-pub portfolio in 2021. Bergstrom Architects, with over 20 years of hospitality design experience, leads the project, blending modern amenities with the hotel's historic charm. Haron Robson provides expert electrical, lighting, and audiovisual design, ensuring a seamless guest experience.

The redevelopment of the Federal Hotel Mudgee is set to elevate the region's hospitality scene, enhancing both the guest experience and Mudgee’s growing appeal as a tourist hotspot. With modernized accommodations, expanded dining options, and expert design, the hotel is ready to become a must-visit destination for travelers seeking comfort, charm, and a taste of local flair in the heart of this vibrant region.
