Icebergs Dining Room & Bar Reopens: Celebrating 20 Years of Bondi’s Icon

After months of renovation, Icebergs Dining Room & Bar has reopened its doors, marking 20 years since its debut. Situated above Bondi’s iconic Icebergs pool, the restaurant has undergone a significant transformation, maintaining its original charm while adding modern touches.

When Maurice Terzini opened Icebergs in 2002, his vision was a world-class dining experience in Bondi. Despite challenges like coastal conditions and heritage restrictions, Icebergs quickly gained international fame. The recent renovation, though delayed by corrosion, modernized the space while preserving its iconic essence.

A key player in this transformation is lighting designer Haron Robson, who worked closely with the team to create a visually stunning atmosphere. Haron Robson’s approach was instrumental in reimagining Icebergs’ lighting, blending function with beauty. His work involved digital and physical modeling to achieve a sophisticated "nocturnal landscape" that enhances both the restaurant’s aesthetic and the dining experience.
