In a move set to transform Sydney's hotel market, Icon Oceania has teamed up with Icon Kajima Group to develop a groundbreaking 229-key lifestyle hotel in the heart of Sydney's CBD. Situated at 499 Kent Street, the project draws inspiration from the site’s rich film industry history, with the heritage-listed ‘RCA House’ offering a unique blend of old and new.
Set to open in 2026, the hotel will feature spacious heritage suites, including Australia’s first "Vertigo Suite," with a see-through glass floor. Guests can also enjoy a rooftop oasis with an infinity pool and bar offering panoramic views of the city and Darling Harbour.
Designed by SJB Architects, the hotel aims to set a new benchmark for boutique, experiential accommodations, with Instagram-worthy features
that combine luxury with immersive experiences. With over 700sqm of food, beverage, and amenity space, including a ground-floor restaurant
and gym, it will cater to both business and leisure travellers.
Located within walking distance of Sydney’s major attractions, this hotel will offer a perfect blend of urban sophistication and nature, with large windows that open up to an on-site garden, ensuring a seamless connection with the surrounding cityscape.
