Rooty Hill RSL Australia’s largest RSL club, announced the completion of its environmentally tri-generation power plant on Tuesday 21st September 2010.

Tri-generation is the simultaneous production of three forms of energy: electricity, heating and cooling from a single system. It is nearly three times more energy efficient than a coal-fired power station.

Rooty Hill RLS is setting an example for other businesses to follow. A first for any club in Australia, the tri-generation power plant installed at Rooty Hill RSL is expected to lower the Club’s carbon emissions by 50 per cent.

Haron Robson are proud to have assisted Rooty Hill RSL  with the implementation of their new gas powered tri-generation power plant.  From feasibility and concept to completion and commissioning Haron Robson co-ordinated an entire energy solution which addressed the Clubs aims of:
    • managing and minimising their energy costs ;
    • reducing their greenhouse gas emissions; and
    • ensuring reliability of supply

With this project we have proven that being green can save money.

We congratulate Rooty Hill RSL on showing confidence and leadership in taking this path.
